Prince Digs Radiohead
April 29th, 2008 by stv
Well, I’ll be jiggered, and you can knock me down with a feather. Prince has mad back catalogue, but when he played Coachella earlier this month, he whipped out this cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” in favour of any of his own tunes:
If you’re curious why the video is no longer available, see this Stereogum piece.
It’s a little long winded, with a big guitar solo to boot, and the Blair Witch Project inspired videography leaves a little to be desired, but the above should be enough evidence to adequately document the happening should he ever try to deny it in the future.
He also dropped tunes by the Beatles & Sarah McLachlan, and there were also appearances by Morris Day (Go, Morris!) and Sheila “The Glamorous Life” E. Right on!
