[gitpop]: So you all dropped out of high school together?

Greg: No, not high school, we all graduated high school. Dave was at McGill University and I was at Ryerson. We both left that part way through our studies.

[gitpop]: Okay, because you’re not going to get anywhere in life without a high school diploma.

Greg: You seem really concerned all of a sudden.

[gitpop]: It’s ever since I became a father. I care about these things.

Greg: We appreciate that. Thank you.

[gitpop]: That’s no problem. So, tell me about this new record you’ve got coming out.

Greg: Well, I guess it comes out April 22nd, and we’re really proud of it. It took a while for us to get down to it and really figure out what we wanted to do with this record. We kind of started it a few different times, but by the end of it we regrouped and decided let’s write ten, eleven tracks, and make that an album. We don’t have to have this cohesive over-arching theme or anything that’s binding it all together. So, we rediscovered songwriting as we had done when we first formed, and this is the result.

[gitpop]: I haven’t heard the whole thing, but what I have heard sounds good. I saw you guys at the Indie Awards last month; the tunes you dropped off the new record were sounding really good then.

Greg: That was a fun show; different than anything we had ever done before. We were glad there was actually an audience, too. There’s always a danger of those things being nothing but industry suits who are just coming out to be seen being there. It was very lucky that people braved the weather to watch us.

[gitpop]: It was a crap night, wasn’t it?

Greg: Yeah.

[gitpop]: It’s hard to make a room rock when it’s carpeted.

Greg: Yeah, definitely, and when it’s in the Royal York Hotel as well.

[gitpop]: It was a surreal experience.

Greg: Cool venue choice. It was classy, definitely the most upscale environment we’ve ever played our music at. It was fun; I think we made the best of it.

[gitpop]: I think it went over quite well.

Greg: Thank you.
