Transmogrify the gitpop podcast theme song
I’d be honoured to have you be a part of the show. The podcast has a brand spanking new theme song, but it could use a little help from you.If you’re a musician, please feel free to do what you will with the theme song, by either remixing or covering the tune and submitting it the show. |
To get started, all you need to do is download this package. It contains all the sound files needed to recreate the super snappy theme song as heard below:
Load it up in your digital audio workstation and do what you will with it. Add your own shredding guitar solo, free jazz drum solo, Beach Boys-inspired background vocals or didgeridoo drone into the mix. If you can actually sing, by all means feel free to replace my vocals. If you’re more of an electronic artist, use your most deconstructive remix techniques to turn the whole thing inside out. If you’re a band, cover the song from the ground up (you’ll find a handy dandy chord chart and lyric sheet in the package as well, just to make it easier for you).
When you’re done with your mix, send it to steve AT stevechatterton DOT com for review. If your work is accepted, it will be featured in the podcast, and you will be given full credit for your efforts, including verbal mention of your name and website in the podcast and a permanent link back to your site from the podcast entry page.
I’m really excited to hear what will happen with this. Now that summer’s out of here, production on the podcast is going into overdrive, so sit back and enjoy the ride. Everyone’s welcome on this journey.
